Im Ready...

For a change...

Hey Blog, hey everyone reading this, hi me.
So I'm totally ready for a change. Just sitting here typing away on my laptop thinking and you know guys, sometimes life gets out of control.
That's how I feel right now anyways, life is sort of out of control and it's completely my fault. I haven't been keeping up with University as much as I would like, my diet and exercise is just out the window and I just quit my job...even though I have 0 money right now...ah student life.
I do also have to look at the good, I have some amazing friends, an amazing boyfriend and amazing family not to mention I'm keeping up with my youtube but I just want to take control again because I feel a little overwhelmed (theres the word I was looking for)

First

I gotta get my diet and exercise sorted. BORING i know, but I have to do it. I have to look online here now, find some sort of exercise plan and food plan so that I can start living a healthier lifestyle. I'll also probably do a blog post later on in the week if I end up finding some good plans that you guys can also be apart of!
BUT
We all know the obvious. I have to drink a lot more water and a lot less diet coke. I feel like I can do this.

Second

I got to find a job. Money is essential when you are student in debt. Every student is in debt but not having a job right now just won't work, especially coming up to Christmas and all that, its just not going to work. So after I find my exercise and diet plan, I have to start applying for jobs, which to be fair I have been doing but I just got to keep going.

Third

I have to get ahead in Uni again. I have to plan my days out efficiently instead of watching netflix all day, which is excellent lets not lie but its not going to get me where I want to be in life.
Get ahead of my work instead of trailing behind.

I really hope this might give you guys some inspiration to get your lives in order if you feel like its getting a bit out of control. It sucks I know but you can totally change it!
And if you lot want to check out my youtube channel, twitter, tumblr anything, I'm always there and love to hear from you! Links below

Uni Room Tour

My Little Piece of Heaven

So I don't know if you all are aware but I'm actually a student in University studying English. Im in my second year and I have really discovered my love for language and writing again. Also, I never thought I would be so into interior design and decor but i currently love my little abode in uni that I have created. Me and my best friend Naomi (whom i met in university last year) moved into our house and chose rooms. I ended up getting the biggest room with an en-suite (which surprised even me as I am the most unluckiest human being on the planet.) So I hope you guys enjoy these photos of my room and maybe even get some ideas for what to do to your university accommodation to make it feel a bit more homely and put together.

The main feature of my room that you see when you come in is my bed and bedside table. The whole theme of my room is quite plain and classic with a comfy twist. I really love the way this room turned  out. My bed is my favourite part of this room and as you can see i have the most beautiful, frilly duvet that you've ever seen. My white duvet is from Tesco and was around £22 from what I can remember. The throw at the bottom which is personally one of my favourite things about my room was from ikea and was £20 as well. The two pillows, one with a chandeliear and the other with a bunch of love quotes where from Home Bargains and cost £8 for the both. My little Brian Griffin at the front of my bed is from my boyfriend and he won him in a vending machine. My little lies that I hung up with hooks were from B&M Bargains and cost £5. I think they add a real cosy feel. I love the rustic comfy feel to my bed and just love lounging on it when i come in.

My bed side table is also full of things that I love, with my little tan clock from B&M Bargains cost £3.99 and a jar with little gem hearts that i got from Home Bargains cost £8 in total. The white lamp is from ikea and cost £2 and my piggy bank called Mr Plonkers was a gift from Nanny and was probably very inexpensive also. As you can see most of these things weren't overly expensive either and this room can be done on a budget....as I am student after all.

This area of my room is where i have my wardrobe and drawers but also were i have my TV sitting...which is very essential and my ps3. Round the back of my tv is all perfumes on a little tray from Home Bargains that i got a while ago for around £4. My Birdcage I love and often have a little tea light in it that my mum got me but have no idea of the price.
My wardrobe also has a little owl holder in which i put all my scarves on and this was around £2 and I love it a lot, especially as it shows off your scarves at the same time.

I absolutely love my desk area and everything on it. My pale pink desk light I had last year and it was from Tesco, very inexpensive again, the little glass jars that hold my jewellery are also very inexpensive but i was collecting them from over the years. My mirror, which is one of my favourite pieces for the room was from Home Bargains and was...wait for it... £5!!!!!! Amazing. Then you can see a little photo of me and my boyfriend as well as this single bed, which unfortunately has to stay in the room but i found a way of making it unique by throwing a duvet over it and having my bags on display. The little fairy lights around my mirror where also from Ikea and were £3.

As you can see this room can be done on such a student budget and I hope you got some ideas if you are deciding to refurbish your room. I love love everything about this room and love being in it. The best part. When its dark.

2014 Bitches

Welcome 2014.

Hello again my lovely little bloggers! So, as you all are aware, 2014 is upon us and I could not be more excited to welcome the new year in! I had an amazing year in 2013 and I'm sad to say goodbye but the fact that I did have such a good year makes me excited at the prospect of what 2014 can bring.

I was just looking over my last years resolution's to see if I completed any of them. Last year I said that:

  • There would be no drama - fail
  • That I would keep a journal - pass
  • That I would get dressed everyday - fail
  • That I would cherish my friends - pass & fail - realized who my true friends were.
  • Keep a Blog - fail - I did not write on you as much as I would have liked too.
So the majority of those new years resolutions last year were complete failures. But, I have to remember all of the good things that happened this year despite not being a new years resolution.
I graduated high school, went to university, met the most amazing people in university, get to study my passion, lost weight and went down a dress size & realized that all the shit from high school doesn't matter and that I have one or two really good friends that I made in high school and all the rest are completely shit and irrelevant. Life is really good right now.

2014 is going to be a good year, I can feel it, I really can (not that I want to jinx myself). So this year I have a few more New Years Resolutions that I am going to try and keep.

Go down another dress size
Post a youtube video a few times a month and blog at least once a month
Push myself to go out of my comfort zone more
Study hard

Im excited to see in 2015 if I have completed these resolutions again, hopefully I will have, so roll on 2014, Im ready.

GUESS WHO'S BACK!?

Where Have I Been?

Hello my girls! Sorry for my absence in the past months, it's been a hectic time! I have managed to survive high school and move onto university, and in this space of time I have had the most fun of my entire life. But really, not a good enough excuse for why I have not been blogging as it is one of my passions after all. First to catch up a little..
I now attend university and study English, so this is where I have been all this time...well most of this time. Im not there right now as im writing this from home (im quite sick at the moment) and I wont be there for 3 weeks starting from the 12th December as that is when we get off, but for the majority of my time I am up there 5 days a week and I absolutely love it. I have met some bloody brilliant people and I genuinely get sad when I have to come back up home (apart from the fact I get to see my family and dogs obviously)! So as I have been away for so long I guess i could show you guys some photos of some of the people I have met!

but anyways...

I have decided that I am going to be blogging a lot more often, hopefully at least once a week provided I have enough material to talk about girlies. I dont want to waffle on about pointless things that I dont think you all need to hear or even want to hear!
One of the main reasons that I have decided to blog more actually came from inspiration from the Carrie Diaries, my current favourite show. She is so passionate about writing and fashion and she makes me excited to write on my blog and get my own views and opinions out there, even if she is fictional.

Speaking of the Carrie Diaries, I have two new boy crushes girls. I would actually say more than boy crushes, more of an intense love. The first is tied in with The Carrie Diaries, and one of the reasons I love the show, just to get to see his beautiful, sexy little face. Yes ladies, it is Austin Butler.

And my second intense love, which I have to say is more than Austin. I am creepily obsessed with Jamie Campbell Bower. It's gone to another level in that I flipping dream about him on a daily basis and even looking at him gets my heart racing. Ladies, you know what im talking about. He may be my perfect guy. He wears rings, has the most sexy nose piercing, cheek bones to die for and a personality that you want to marry.

Yea, i warned you all that it is a CREEPY obsession. Might be in love with the man, thats normal right....

Also, my style has greatly changed in this period of time. Which also might explain why I am so in love with Jamie Campbell Bower and his edgy, almost gothicy vibe that he gives off. Now, I wouldnt call my new style gothic or even emo, maybe if I had a cool piercing or something and wore a lot of black makeup, then maybe. Still dont think I could pull it off but im trying to be a bit more "grunge". This is the exact term I use to anyone who asks me what my style is or what im trying to do. Or even if someone doesnt ask me I will ask them do they think "I look grunge today?" Yes, I like to do my makeup grungey, with a lot of browns and messy, i like to have my hair as messy as possible, I like to wear my boots that I am in love with, with my frilly socks, leather leggings and a "look at how edgy and grunge I am" top. I'll be doing a post soon on an outfit that I love, and its all inspired by grunge, so look out for that soon.

I have also found a love for The 1975. I think they have the best music I have ever heard. I cant get sick of listening to it (and I've listened a lot). Please someone buy me tickets to go see every one of their shows. They are just epic.

oh, i also got a new job working in USC! YEA BOI!

But the meaning behind this post was too.

Sort of address where I want to head with my blog and what you can all expect to see in the next month or so!

BeautyStopShop is going to contain fashion, beauty and hair tips, and really just showing you girls what im doing with my style! It changes like the wind...
But it is also going to contain a lot more intellectual topics, such as book reviews, film and tv show reviews, political stances, just my opinions on what is going on with the world and wanting to hear what you guys are thinking also! This new direction may all be because of my new found intelectual freedom from attending Uni now, i know i know, I sound like every university student who thinks we should all be deep and misunderstood, I get it. But im just excited to take this blog in a new direction while still keeping it the way it was. So yes, look forward to new posts from me a lot more often and if you want to see and hear from my bake a little more, again tumblr and twitter are were you will find me most!
CHOI FOR NOW MY LOVELIES <3 oh and merry christmas :D

Summer Body Goal

Summer Body Goal

ALRIGHT GUYS! So its that time of the month where the weather is beginning to pick up and get slightly warmer! Of course this only means one thing though, SUMMER IS ON ITS WAY! I am personally a winter type of girl, however i am very excited for this summer, mainly just so im off school but I do also love a bit of sun. Now, this summer I am determined to get a summer body that if I want I could go prancing about naked and feel great (I wont though, dont worry)
These are just a few of the things that I am going to be doing myself and feel free to join in and try and get that summer body with me!

Listen to music that gets your blood pumping

Okay, so the one of the first things that I like to do is make myself a lovely little playlist to get me in the mood to either work out or just to jump around my room acting silly. So this tracklist is what I like to call my "Summer Bod" Playlist (original iknow). There are quite a few songs on my playlist but ya know what, im just going to tell you them all and you can pick what you want from it! These songs are songs that make me happy or make me want to dance or belt, you know, the usual! The songs that you'll find in this playlist are the following:
1. C'Mon - Ke$ha
2. Sister Rosetta - Breaking Dawn Part 1
3. Radioactive - Marina & The Diamonds
4. Pound the Alarm - Nicki Minaj
5. Kiss N Tell - Ke$ha
6. Rattle - Bingo Players
7. Dont you worry child - Swedish House Mafia
8. Fuck you Betta - Neon Hitch
9. Dynamite - Taoi Cruz
10. Clarity - Zedd
11. Beauty and a Beat - Justin Bieber
12. Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen
13. I knew you were trouble - Taylor Swift
14. Hit the Lights - Selena Gomez
15. Ill be your man - James Blunt
16. I could be the one - Avicci
17. How to be a Heartbreaker - Marina and the Diamonds
18. Tik Tok - Ke$ha
19. Whip it - Nicki Minaj
20. Heads will Roll - Remix Yeah Yeah Yeahs
21. My Heart Is Remix - Tiffany Alvord
22. Pound the Alarm - Nicki Minaj
23. Sex Yeah - Marina and the Diamonds
24. Monster - Dotexe
25. Primadonna - Marina and the Diamonds
26. Champagne Showers - LMFAO
27. Find Yourself - John O'Callaghan
28. Dirty Talk - Wynter Gordon
29. Latch - Disclosure
30. White Noise - Disclosure
31. Language - Porter Robinson
32. Domino - Jessie J
33. Dont stop the party- Pitbull
34. Cry - Bingo Players

Listening to any of these songs in the morning, at night or just throughout the day make me extremely happy and leave me with a big grin on my face which is great for some motivation and to get ready for summer!

Buying Summer Clothes

Buying nice, pretty, summer clothes always makes me happy and gives me inspiration to get thinner! You always want to look nice in your cute little outfits and even just looking through magazines in your house can give you ideas for different items that you might want to purchase and get skiny for!

Look at some "Thinspiration" photos

So, i actually made myself a book called my "Summer Body Book". I know it's super original again but this book is basically were I keep a lot of different things that I think can help me lose weight as well as recording different things. In this book especially is where I keep "thinspiration" photos of some of my favourite celebrities in their bikinis looking pretty dam beautiful. I just printed these off the computer and stuck them in so its not hard to do at all!
Kristen Stewart, Selena Gomez, Anna Paquin & Nina Dobrev

Millie Mackintosh, Taylor Swift & Troian (Spencer Hastings)

Exercise

Now, this is something that I hate to do. Everyone hates exercise dont they? I mean people do not enjoy doing exercise (apart for weird humans who are aliens) but it is most definitely something that needs to happen so that you shed a few pounds. This is especially essential if you aren't overweight to begin with as losing weight can actually be quite hard so dieting on its own will not work. As the famous saying goes, "no pain, no gain". What I am aiming to do is exercise intensely at least twice a week, doing quick intense regimes and then leaving resting for a short period of time and doing the same thing over again. It has been proven that the body will lose more wiehgt if you do these intense exercises instead of say, going for a long run. I have also set myself a goal that if i feel up to it I can also do workout videos throughout the week.

Eat Better & Drink More Water

This little task here is going to be one of the hardest for me because i love love to eat crap. Im also not an avid water drinker as i feel like it tastes like nothing but i have set myself the goal to drink at least two bottles of water a day because water is extremely good for you and helps hydrate your skin and hair and can even make you feel fuller instead of eating. I also need to badly stop eating chinese because it is my guilty pleasure because it tastes like heaven but im not going to eat it anymore, i tell you. ALSO! dont eat after 6! its when you put on most of your weight.

Set yourself a goal

This is one of the most important steps in losing weight and feeling overall better. Setting yourself a goal gives you something to strive for and being realistic with your goal is also a much healthier way of losing weight. My goal is to be at my desired weight for the start of June! I want to lose a stone which would make me around 9 stone 3! Tracking your progress can also make setting this goal easier so you know what youve done and i am beginning my regime on 1st March, so essentially tomorrow! This is why i made my Summer Body Book, to help track my progress and to keep me going.

Downloading Apps for your iPhone

I dont know about all of you but I am constantly on my iPhone. Its like my little baby. So i decided that downloading a number of apps will definitely help me work out and give me the inspiration to continue. Some of the apps that i downloaded include:
  • My Fitness Pal - This app basically helps you track the amount of calories you are eating per day and ensures that you dont go over your calorie intake. Eating aroun 1200ckal for a girl will normally mean that she will be losing weight, so aim for eating around that every day.
  • Davina Fitness - This app is Davina McCalls fitness regime and it has great exercises that you can do in your house. I love this app also as it give you your BMI.
  • Diet Coach - This allows you to set reminders constantly throughout the day to help keep you motivated and to not slip up! Its a great app.

Make a Progress Blog

Making a tumblr blog can really help you stay on track and can even allow you to make friends who may be doing the same thing. Encouragement from others is always great!

So they are just a few of my tips and tricks! Ill be doing them all as well and may even update you in a few months to how its going! HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A LOVELY DIET REGIME WITH ME! mwah xoxo

School Edition! - Whats in my schoolbag?

SCHOOL EDITION!

So I just thought that due to the fact I have to go back to that amazing place we all call school...(yea I know, worst place in the world) I would do a sort of "back to school" blog as we have now finished exams (unless you do health and social care), and I sort of like to get organised and start fresh as I will be starting lots of brand new modules this term...YAYY!

The first thing that I got new for going back to school is this little owl broach that I just love to pieces. I actually got this little guy as someone gave it to my nanny and she obviously has nowhere to wear it and so she passed it along to me, so I like to think of it as sort of special in a way. Also everyone in my school has a badge there whether they are a prefect, buddy or in some sort of sports team and of course I am none of those things :) So i'll just settle for my little broach that I absolutely love. I have no idea where this broach is from as it wasn't me who purchased it but I am fairly sure that he was pretty inexpensive!

I also got a brand new pair of shoes for starting back to school after the long break as my old had holes in them and were pretty worn out. I purchased the exact same pair of shoes that I had before, a plain black pair of brogues with the loveliest detail around them, as they were extremely comfy and I enjoy the style. They are also just high enough that I am off the ground and wetness but not overly high that they are clumpy and big. Again, I did not purchase these myself, my lovely mother did so I'm not 100% sure were you can get these or their price but I believe it is in and around £20-40 from any shoe stores you know.

Okay so now starting into my school bag! YAYY!
My school bag is a brown satchel from Topshop that I feel in love with as soon as I laid my eyes on it. It is the perfect type of school back for me as it fits a lot in it and is also slim and tiny enough that my shoulder doesnt ache carrying it about, and of course so that i can maneuver in and around my school at rush periods throughout the day.
It has this one long strap that is extremely durable that I like to carry my bag with most as I feel that it sits better and looks a lot nicer when I do this. The strap is also adjustable so that you can have it at whatever length you prefer, however I keep mine pretty long so that it is directly against my thigh.
It also has this handy little handle at the top that I will often use to pick the bag up with if it is on the floor. I do not use this handle for really anything else but it does come in handy.
I purchased this bag at Topshop for £45

Now starting in to what is currently in my bag! These are all the items that you will normally see in my bag except for the odd few.

The first thing that I like to carry around in my bag is 2 lined file pads that I can write on and take notes in class. I used to carry my file pads in the same file that I was bringing to class, however they were too big and bulky and were taking up too much room while also consistently breaking my files closing clasp. I got these file pads from my school at the start of the year with the £10 that our school allows you to spend free on stationary supplies.

I also carry around this sheet organiser where I like to keep all my sheets and booklets that maybe don't belong in a specific file or are too important to just throw in my bag in case they get crumpled. Many sheets that need to be signed and returned to my teacher end up in this lovely little folder. I also adore the design on this folder as it is fun and colourful. One of my teachers actually complimented this folder and the design.
I purchased this folder from Tesco's at £2
Politics Textbook

Chaucer Poem Material

The Outsider Novel
I am also carrying these three books in my bag at the minute as I recently had a Politics exam and an english exam in which Chaucer and my politics textbook where needed. My Albert Camus book is with me as it has been sitting in my house until we finished the previous course that was on Chaucer and King Lear. I did not purchase any of these books as the school provided us with the material!

My Diary is a thing that you will never find me without. I recently purchased this diary today as I fell in love with the pattern completely, I think it's so girly and cute. I actually had another diary in my bag that was pink, however it now sits in my handbag, meaning that I don't have to switch between the two any more. Our school will provide you with a homework diary at the start of the year, however I find it to be plain, too small and not enough room for any of my social dates that I want to include. This diary also comes with a cute pale pink ribbon that allows you to quickly find what week you're on.
I purchased this diary at Tesco's for £4

Now starting into stationary!!!
My pencil case is one of my favourite things in my bag as it contains all my pens that I love to write with and I love the design of the pencil case anyway. It's so fun and girly and if you cant tell already, I am a huge girly girl at heart, so this design just called to me.
I purchased this pencil case at Tesco's for £6
2 writing pens, Pastel writing pens, Glue, Sharpener, Rubber, Pencil
This is just some of the stationary that I take with me in my pencil case. The two pens that I most like to write with are these WHSmith pens that I got when I was over in London. I am really particular about pens and if I don't like the way that they write I will not use them. I like the pens that I use to make the writing appear thing and easy, as I will be writing for most of the day. These pens came in a pack of 3 that I purchased at WHSmith for £2.50
The pastel coloured writing pens are a new purchase that I got to inspire me to revise, its irrelevant if it worked or not...I love my work to appear pretty and colourful, not boring and so I loved these colours as soon as I saw them. It actually came with two more colours but these are my favourite. I purchased these in Tesco's for £6
My pink glue stick is just an essential that is needed in every pencil case, I just really like mine because it's pink along with my metallic pink sharpener. I like my sharpeners to have a bit where the shavings can go so that I don't have to constantly get up and go to the bin. I also like to have big giant rubbers so that they last forever and don't tempt me to cut them up (im such a child at heart) and the pencils that I like to write with are these teal coloured ones that are soft to the touch.
I purchased all of this stationary at Tesco's.
The highlighters that I have are these Sharpie ones. Sharpie is a really good make for stationary as their pens are known all over the world, and seeing as I am constantly needing to highlight passages in English and Politics I thought it best to invest in a good brand of highlighters. I enjoy the colours that came with these highlighters, especially the yellow (that is beyond bright) and the pink. I use these highlighters nearly everyday and could not recommend them enough, they are still going strong!
I purchased these highlighters at Tesco's for £5.50

Now these Staedtler pens are one of my best buys that I use constantly. They are different from my pastel coloured pens that write thin as these bad boys are more like felt tips. Without a doubt I use these pens every single day, multiple times throughout the day and not one of them is running out yet. They are good to use for titles on work and also for maybe ticking things that you have done or even for writing down specific words (however I use my thinner pens for that). They are such a good buy!
I purchased these at Tesco's for £6
I purchased this file today as I am always drawn to bright colour and love to have pretty stationary (if you couldn't tell already). I got this file for English as I will be starting into a new topic on Monday and so I thought it best to start with a new file.
I purchased this file at Tesco's for £2.10 on offer

This file was got for my Health and Social Care coursework that we have started into. I didn't need a lever arch file for this coursework as I thought it would not need that much space however I am now thinking that I should actually go out and get one because the work is piling up. I also do not need a file for anymore theory as that is completed (provided I don't need to resit in June).
I purchased this file at Tesco's for £2

SO YEA GUYS! That is mainly everything that is in my schoolbag and that I take to school with me everyday as well as the new items that I purchased!:)
CHOI FOR NOW! xox
