My Little Piece of Heaven
So I don't know if you all are aware but I'm actually a student in University studying English. Im in my second year and I have really discovered my love for language and writing again. Also, I never thought I would be so into interior design and decor but i currently love my little abode in uni that I have created. Me and my best friend Naomi (whom i met in university last year) moved into our house and chose rooms. I ended up getting the biggest room with an en-suite (which surprised even me as I am the most unluckiest human being on the planet.) So I hope you guys enjoy these photos of my room and maybe even get some ideas for what to do to your university accommodation to make it feel a bit more homely and put together.
The main feature of my room that you see when you come in is my bed and bedside table. The whole theme of my room is quite plain and classic with a comfy twist. I really love the way this room turned out. My bed is my favourite part of this room and as you can see i have the most beautiful, frilly duvet that you've ever seen. My white duvet is from Tesco and was around £22 from what I can remember. The throw at the bottom which is personally one of my favourite things about my room was from ikea and was £20 as well. The two pillows, one with a chandeliear and the other with a bunch of love quotes where from Home Bargains and cost £8 for the both. My little Brian Griffin at the front of my bed is from my boyfriend and he won him in a vending machine. My little lies that I hung up with hooks were from B&M Bargains and cost £5. I think they add a real cosy feel. I love the rustic comfy feel to my bed and just love lounging on it when i come in.
My bed side table is also full of things that I love, with my little tan clock from B&M Bargains cost £3.99 and a jar with little gem hearts that i got from Home Bargains cost £8 in total. The white lamp is from ikea and cost £2 and my piggy bank called Mr Plonkers was a gift from Nanny and was probably very inexpensive also. As you can see most of these things weren't overly expensive either and this room can be done on a budget....as I am student after all.
This area of my room is where i have my wardrobe and drawers but also were i have my TV sitting...which is very essential and my ps3. Round the back of my tv is all perfumes on a little tray from Home Bargains that i got a while ago for around £4. My Birdcage I love and often have a little tea light in it that my mum got me but have no idea of the price.
My wardrobe also has a little owl holder in which i put all my scarves on and this was around £2 and I love it a lot, especially as it shows off your scarves at the same time.
I absolutely love my desk area and everything on it. My pale pink desk light I had last year and it was from Tesco, very inexpensive again, the little glass jars that hold my jewellery are also very inexpensive but i was collecting them from over the years. My mirror, which is one of my favourite pieces for the room was from Home Bargains and was...wait for it... £5!!!!!! Amazing. Then you can see a little photo of me and my boyfriend as well as this single bed, which unfortunately has to stay in the room but i found a way of making it unique by throwing a duvet over it and having my bags on display. The little fairy lights around my mirror where also from Ikea and were £3.
As you can see this room can be done on such a student budget and I hope you got some ideas if you are deciding to refurbish your room. I love love everything about this room and love being in it. The best part. When its dark.
Thanks for stopping by --- <3
