Im Ready...

For a change...

Hey Blog, hey everyone reading this, hi me.
So I'm totally ready for a change. Just sitting here typing away on my laptop thinking and you know guys, sometimes life gets out of control.
That's how I feel right now anyways, life is sort of out of control and it's completely my fault. I haven't been keeping up with University as much as I would like, my diet and exercise is just out the window and I just quit my job...even though I have 0 money right now...ah student life.
I do also have to look at the good, I have some amazing friends, an amazing boyfriend and amazing family not to mention I'm keeping up with my youtube but I just want to take control again because I feel a little overwhelmed (theres the word I was looking for)

First

I gotta get my diet and exercise sorted. BORING i know, but I have to do it. I have to look online here now, find some sort of exercise plan and food plan so that I can start living a healthier lifestyle. I'll also probably do a blog post later on in the week if I end up finding some good plans that you guys can also be apart of!
BUT
We all know the obvious. I have to drink a lot more water and a lot less diet coke. I feel like I can do this.

Second

I got to find a job. Money is essential when you are student in debt. Every student is in debt but not having a job right now just won't work, especially coming up to Christmas and all that, its just not going to work. So after I find my exercise and diet plan, I have to start applying for jobs, which to be fair I have been doing but I just got to keep going.

Third

I have to get ahead in Uni again. I have to plan my days out efficiently instead of watching netflix all day, which is excellent lets not lie but its not going to get me where I want to be in life.
Get ahead of my work instead of trailing behind.

I really hope this might give you guys some inspiration to get your lives in order if you feel like its getting a bit out of control. It sucks I know but you can totally change it!

Uni Room Tour

My Little Piece of Heaven

So I don't know if you all are aware but I'm actually a student in University studying English. Im in my second year and I have really discovered my love for language and writing again. Also, I never thought I would be so into interior design and decor but i currently love my little abode in uni that I have created. Me and my best friend Naomi (whom i met in university last year) moved into our house and chose rooms. I ended up getting the biggest room with an en-suite (which surprised even me as I am the most unluckiest human being on the planet.) So I hope you guys enjoy these photos of my room and maybe even get some ideas for what to do to your university accommodation to make it feel a bit more homely and put together.

The main feature of my room that you see when you come in is my bed and bedside table. The whole theme of my room is quite plain and classic with a comfy twist. I really love the way this room turned  out. My bed is my favourite part of this room and as you can see i have the most beautiful, frilly duvet that you've ever seen. My white duvet is from Tesco and was around £22 from what I can remember. The throw at the bottom which is personally one of my favourite things about my room was from ikea and was £20 as well. The two pillows, one with a chandeliear and the other with a bunch of love quotes where from Home Bargains and cost £8 for the both. My little Brian Griffin at the front of my bed is from my boyfriend and he won him in a vending machine. My little lies that I hung up with hooks were from B&M Bargains and cost £5. I think they add a real cosy feel. I love the rustic comfy feel to my bed and just love lounging on it when i come in.

My bed side table is also full of things that I love, with my little tan clock from B&M Bargains cost £3.99 and a jar with little gem hearts that i got from Home Bargains cost £8 in total. The white lamp is from ikea and cost £2 and my piggy bank called Mr Plonkers was a gift from Nanny and was probably very inexpensive also. As you can see most of these things weren't overly expensive either and this room can be done on a budget....as I am student after all.

This area of my room is where i have my wardrobe and drawers but also were i have my TV sitting...which is very essential and my ps3. Round the back of my tv is all perfumes on a little tray from Home Bargains that i got a while ago for around £4. My Birdcage I love and often have a little tea light in it that my mum got me but have no idea of the price.
My wardrobe also has a little owl holder in which i put all my scarves on and this was around £2 and I love it a lot, especially as it shows off your scarves at the same time.

I absolutely love my desk area and everything on it. My pale pink desk light I had last year and it was from Tesco, very inexpensive again, the little glass jars that hold my jewellery are also very inexpensive but i was collecting them from over the years. My mirror, which is one of my favourite pieces for the room was from Home Bargains and was...wait for it... £5!!!!!! Amazing. Then you can see a little photo of me and my boyfriend as well as this single bed, which unfortunately has to stay in the room but i found a way of making it unique by throwing a duvet over it and having my bags on display. The little fairy lights around my mirror where also from Ikea and were £3.

As you can see this room can be done on such a student budget and I hope you got some ideas if you are deciding to refurbish your room. I love love everything about this room and love being in it. The best part. When its dark.

2014 Bitches

Welcome 2014.

Hello again my lovely little bloggers! So, as you all are aware, 2014 is upon us and I could not be more excited to welcome the new year in! I had an amazing year in 2013 and I'm sad to say goodbye but the fact that I did have such a good year makes me excited at the prospect of what 2014 can bring.

I was just looking over my last years resolution's to see if I completed any of them. Last year I said that:

  • There would be no drama - fail
  • That I would keep a journal - pass
  • That I would get dressed everyday - fail
  • That I would cherish my friends - pass & fail - realized who my true friends were.
  • Keep a Blog - fail - I did not write on you as much as I would have liked too.
So the majority of those new years resolutions last year were complete failures. But, I have to remember all of the good things that happened this year despite not being a new years resolution.
I graduated high school, went to university, met the most amazing people in university, get to study my passion, lost weight and went down a dress size & realized that all the shit from high school doesn't matter and that I have one or two really good friends that I made in high school and all the rest are completely shit and irrelevant. Life is really good right now.

2014 is going to be a good year, I can feel it, I really can (not that I want to jinx myself). So this year I have a few more New Years Resolutions that I am going to try and keep.

Go down another dress size
Post a youtube video a few times a month and blog at least once a month
Push myself to go out of my comfort zone more
Study hard

Im excited to see in 2015 if I have completed these resolutions again, hopefully I will have, so roll on 2014, Im ready.
